Languages Canada's 15th Annual Conference will kick off on Sunday, March 27, 2022 with a casual welcome reception, followed by two full days of plenary and break-out sessions. The event will conclude with our Annual General Meeting (LC members only) on the morning of Wednesday, March 30.
The last two years have been among the most difficult for our members. The association's advocacy efforts have proven more important than ever, with governments across all jurisdictions, but mainly with the federal government. For that reason, and to raise the profile of our sector and the association's work, we have chosen the beautiful city of Ottawa for our 15th Annual Conference.
We plan to leverage proximity to Parliament Hill to engage with pertinent ministers and MPs and highlight the importance of Canada's English and French language education sector in meeting the country's goals for economic recovery and growth, diversity and inclusion, labour force, and immigration.
The Westin Ottawa, located on the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and boasting views of Parliament Hill, the Ottawa River and the National Gallery of Canada, is a fitting location for the leaders of French and English language programs to come together and discuss the future of our sector in a changing landscape.
We hope you’ll join Languages Canada to celebrate our resilience and explore the continuing recovery of the Canadian language education sector!
